JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Conducting veterinary diseases for pastoralists in its area; ii. In collaboration with health inspectors, he will inspect the meat and cleanliness of the abattoir regularly; iii. Collect data on meat and animal products such as hides and write reports; iv. Coordinate veterinary diseases under the supervision of a Veterinarian and advise breeders how to protect livestock against diseases;
v. Regularly visit pastoralists and give them professional technical advice in their area of work; vi. Collect all data on livestock development in its area; vii. Advise and supervise the construction of dips, abattoirs, hinges and related infrastructure and better animal husbandry; viii. Managing joss medicine mixing; ix. Involvement in the relocation and production of livestock in general; x. Advise breeders on best practices for milk production and calf care; xi. To perform such other functions as may be assigned to him by his supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Recruitment of Form IV or VI graduates with Diploma (NTA Level 6 Diploma) of one of the field of Livestock Production; Dairy and Poultry Production; Livestock Health and Production; Review of Meat from Veterinary Training Agency Colleges or from another recognized college and Government.
