MDH Tanzania is a non-profit organization that provides affordable healthcare to the people of Tanzania. Our goal is to create a sustainable system that will improve the quality of life for the people living in Tanzania and beyond. We are looking for someone with experience in health care and project management who will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and implementing MDH Tanzania’s projects and programs.

The role requires someone who has experience in project management, leadership skills, strong communication skills, and passion for healthcare.

MDH Tanzania

MDH evolved from the former Harvard-PEPFAR program, which was a collaboration of Harvard School of Public Health (USA), Dar es Salaam City Council, and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). This collaboration worked with the government to provide HIV care and treatment services starting from Dar es salaam region in 2004 and later expanding to other regions in Tanzania .In 2007, the program was renamed to SING (Supporting Injectors in Need-GPS) and later in 2009 to SING-Tanzania. Since then, the program has expanded nationally.MDH is a network of over 6,000 injectable drug users who are connected through weekly consultations with health care providers and peer support

MDH’s work is primarily in public health service and research in Tanzania and the world at large. MDH seeks to mobilize and engage a team of skilled, experienced and motivated Tanzanian professionals to work in collaboration with the government and with other local and international experts to address public health priorities through evidence based interventions.

MDH’s core business encompasses design, implementation and evaluation of programs and research in Communicable diseases, Chronic non-communicable diseases, Reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health, Nutrition, Health Information Systems, Health System Strengthening and others.
