CARDINAL RUGAMBWA MEMORIAL COLLEGE

Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial College (CARUMCO) is a new institution established in 2019 recognized by National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with registration number REG/BTP/108.

The college is owned by Bukoba Catholic Diocese having honored a name of the first Black African Cardinal and the Bishop of Bukoba His Eminence Late Cardinal Laurean Rugambwa who had a great vision of uplifting the black man from misery through Education. The college takes the place of Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial University College (CARUMUCO) which was a constituent college of the St. Augustine University of Tanzania.

Academic Programmes

Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial College offers the following programmes;

Certificate Courses

CARUMCO offers the following certificate courses;

Basic Technician Certificate in Accountancy
Basic Technician Certificate in Procurement and supply management
Basic technician Certificate in Business Administration
Basic technician Certificate in Law
Basic technician Certificate in Community Development
Basic technician Certificate in Information and Communication Technology

Duration of all above programmes is one (1) year

Entry Requirement Qualifications:

A candidate must possess at least four (4) “D” in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)

A candidate must possess a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with at least two (2) passes “D” and the National Vocational Award (NVA) level III (Trade Test Grade) in a relevant field.

Diploma Courses

CARUMCO offers the following Diploma programmes;

Ordinary Diploma in Accountancy
Ordinary Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management
Ordinary Diploma in Business Administration
Ordinary Diploma in Law
Ordinary Diploma in Community Development
Ordinary Diploma in Information and Communication Technology

Duration of all above Diploma programmes is two (2) years

Entry Requirement Qualifications:

A candidate must possess at least one principle pass and one subsidiary in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE).

A candidate must possess a certificate of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in the related field with 2.0 GPA.

The following policies and procedures are applicable to all students who officially register for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Certificate, Short Course, and Diploma programmes that the Institute reserves the right to change fees without prior notice. However, Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial University College CARUMUCO fee changes are subject to approval by the Governing Council and we will update it ASAP.

General Requirements

Tanzania government has given charge two institutions NACTE and TCU, of admission to all programmes. NACTE is concerned with admission to Certificate Programmes, Diploma Programmes; and Bachelor Degree Programmes for candidates who came from Diploma Programmes while TCU is concerned with Bachelor Degree programmes for candidates who came from Form Six(Advanced Secondary School).

All these Government Institutions are using Central Admission System and each System is independent. Therefore we are advised candidates who wish to apply to our college to visit their wbsites for application.
