The Immigration Services Department was made by Section 4(1) of the Immigration Act of 1995, Chapter 54, as changed by Act No.8 of 2015. The Department is now able to handle and deal with all United Republic of Tanzania immigration issues. The Ministry of Home Affairs, which is in charge of security, is in charge of the Department.
1. QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS
i. Be a citizen of Tanzania; ii. Have a Birth Certificate (Birth Cetificate); iii. Have an ID or National Identification Number (NIDA); iv. Have school graduation certificates (Leaving Certificates), professional certificates (Academic Certificates), and JKT/JKU preliminary training certificates in different operations;
v. May he be healthy in body and mind. v. He should have a good reputation and never have been in jail, used drugs or sold drugs, or been involved in any kind of crime. vii. He shouldn’t have any tattoos or drawings on his body. viii. He shouldn’t be married or be married.
ix. Be willing to go through initial training for immigration; x. Be ready to work anywhere in Tanzania; xi. Once hired, he will work for four years without getting married or getting married;
xii. Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree shouldn’t be older than 30 years old, and they should have graduated training in one of the following fields: Construction Engineering (Civil Engineering), Electrical Engineering, Construction Estimator (QS), Architect, Medical Officer, Medical Assistant, Nursing, Statistics, Insurance Issues, Electronic Systems Architect (System Developer), Cyber Security, Systems Security (Information Security), Language Experts (Arabic, Chinese, French).
xiii. Applicants for Sixth Form and Fourth Form must be at least 18 years old and no older than 28. The applicants must also have a Professional Certificate from one of the following government-approved colleges: Electrical, Tailoring, Auto Mechanics, Plumber, Masonry, Mechanic Welding, Carpentry, Nursing Professions, Office Clerk, Secretarial Secretary, Physician, Laboratory, Driving, Sports, Music, Singing, Sound Engineering, Musician, Catering.
