UCT Application is opened. Prospective applicants for both undergraduate and postgraduate can apply for study admission at the university.
Applicants can apply for study admission for the many qualifications and courses offered at the university.
University of Cape Town Online Application 2023 Opening Date
Application for study admission opens from 1 May 2021. Prospective applicants can only submit applications from the date the application will be opened.
University of Cape Town Online Application 2023 Closing Date
Application for study admission closes on 31 August 2021. Applicants must submit their application for enrollment before the application deadline.

University of Cape Town Application Requirements
Note: applicants will need to provide the following requirements for their online application for their study admission.
Uct Requirements for South African Citizens
- An email address
- A cell phone number
- An identification Card (ID)
- A copy of Grade 11 or Grade 12 exams results
Uct Requirements for International Student Applicants
- A valid passport of the home country
- South African Medical Test
- English Proficiency
- A certificate that is equivalent to South African Grade 12 or higher.

UCT Application Fee
An application fee must be paid for every application. UCT students and graduates, as well as Semester Study Abroad (SSA) applicants, are exempt from the application fee unless applying to a Graduate School of Business (GSB) programme. Please refer to the fee structure for more information.

UCT Application forms
You may apply online from 1 April 2022 for undergraduate studies at UCT in 2023. In order to apply online you will need a working email address and your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number.
If you are unable to apply online, you may submit a paper application. Completed undergraduate application forms must be sent to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za with the subject line “2023 UCT Application Form” before the closing date of 31 July 2022. If you are unable to email the form, please post it to the Admissions Office (see details on the right) with sufficient time to reach us before the closing date. All postgraduate applicants must apply online.
